I think careers are like playgrounds, not ladders. I’ve been curiously working for over two decades as a health professional and medical scientist across loads of health care settings in pretty much any part of the health care journey you can imagine.
Like private practice and doctor clinics, in the community and people’s home, with the homeless and disadvantaged, aged care and hospitals, mental health facilities, drug and alcohol clinics, corporate and health insurance, food industry, pathology labs and public health. And in other roles too, like health programs and strategy, education, policy, marketing and communications.

This can be tricky at the best of times. Having been in it for so long and seen and lived the experiences of loved ones and clients struggling daily to navigate the health care system, I want to give back and share that knowledge.
My fave way to do this is through communication that’s accessible, jargon-free and real life. Cos we’re all humans first and foremost, even us health professionals.
